摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enhance the correction capability, by compressing and transmitting separately a specially important sequence signal and by substituting a sequence signal, where an error occurs, with the separately transmitted signal. CONSTITUTION:An input signal 1 is quantized by an A/D converter 2, and sample values are written in a circuit 3 for samll blocks. Blocked sample values X1-X4 are converted to biquadratic sequence signals h1-h4 by an H converter 4. Respective sequence signals are quantized with an optimum bit distribution by a quantizer 5 to obtain quantized signals q1h1-q4h4. The most important sequence signal h1 is written in a circuit 21 for large block. Blocked sequence signals b1-b4 are converted to biquadratic sequence signals H1-H4by an H converter 22. Sequence signals H1-H4 are quantized with an optimum bit distribution by a quantizer 23 to obtain quantized signals Q1H1-Q4H4. These quantized signals q1h1-q4h4 and Q1H1-Q4H4 are synthesized by a synthesizing circuit 20 and are supplied to a transmission line 7 through an encoder 4.</p>
