PURPOSE:To obtain an oblique character printing system which enable varying of the form of printing character and can perform an oblique printing having an arbitrary inclination by the use of a general character pattern, by a method wherein drive timing for (n) pieces of printing head pins is caused to vary. CONSTITUTION:A printing control part 12 outputs a timer set command SET for setting a delay time T against a timer 11 based on printing information before a printing operation starts. The timer 11 outputs printing head drive timing signal TM1-TM4, in which printing drive signals DRIV delay by a delay time T in order to a gate part of printing head drivers 41-4n from output terminals 01-0n, respectively, corresponding to the signals DRIV from the printing control part 12. |
