PURPOSE:To extend the dynamic range, by using diodes with inverse characteristics mutually as resistors. CONSTITUTION:A diode D2 with inverse characteristics in DC and AC as a diode D1 connected complementarily. The diodes D1 and D2 are connected in series in DC manner to a variable current source IF, but in parallel in AC manner. Thus, a resistive component viewed from an output terminal OUT is a parallel combined resistance of resistive components dVF/dIF of the diodes D1, D2. When a signal is applied from an input signal source Vin, the diodes D1,D2 take inverse characteristics DC and AC manners. Since the D1, D2 act complementarily, the parallel combined resistance of the both shows a slow change to the alteration of an input signal. Thus, the change in the output impedance is small. As a result, the dynamic range can be made wider and the distortion can be reduced. |
