The tiltable support mast is for an electrical instrument such as radar measuring equipment, search lights, loudspeakers, aerials etc. It has very few protruding parts, but is very strong and rigid. It can be operated by a single person. The fixed section (1) and the hinged section (2) have an upper (6) and a lower (7) overlapping section. These sections become aligned when the mast is fully extended. The overlapping sections have a rectangular cross-section and fit into each other when extended.
