The videodisc protective holder comprises a rectangular sleeve (7) open at one front edge and a rectangular support (2) carrying the disc (1) on one of its faces. The support is slidable into and out of the sleeve, and carries a closure along one edge which locks the support in the sleeve preventing user access to the disc. The sleeve has a fold (12) along one of its front edges which engages over an internal folded back tongue (20) on the closure to lock the two together. Unlocking is effected using a key (28) which is of rectangular cross-section and which is inserted between the outer face of the sleeve carrying the fold and the adjacent face of the tongue to flex the two apart.
