<p>Rotary shafts for use in aggressive chemical environments are prepd. with matt surfaces and superficial depressions to enhance the anchorage of a protective coating applied by hot moulding. For protecting (tubular) metal shafts for rotary pumps etc., opt. supported by a plain bearing and intended for service temps. up to 200 deg.C. The corrosion-resistant coating allows the shaft core to be made of a metal selected for mechanical characteristics, e.g. steel without the expense of those also offering chemical resistance, e.g. titanium, stainless steel, hastelloy.</p> |
