The current collecting rings for an electric machine are each supported on an insulating tubular support. The end of the first support has cut-away portions around its circumference, whilst the end of the second support has projecting tabs. The two supports are glued together, with the projecting tabs of the second part fitting into the cut-away parts of the first. Each of the conducting rings has edge portions bent inwards. These fit into shaped ends of the two insulating supports to hold the rings in place. Conducting rods are attached to the two rings, and pass through one support block parallel to its axis to be connected to the machine's windings. The holes in this block for these rods are diametrically opposite one another.
