<p>Sodium fluoride capsules contain a core of pure peanut oil (Codex standard), hydrogenated soya oil, partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, yellow beeswax, and sodium fluoride, and an outer layer of glycerine, sodium p-hydroxy ethyl benzoate, sodium p-hydroxy propyl benzoate, gelatine, and silicone oil having a viscosity of 1000. Treatment of otospongiosis, osteoporosis, and in haematology and rheumatology. High doses of NaF may be given without risk of toxicity since the capsules resist gastric juices and so do not form HF in the stomach.</p> |
