The rotating cylinder (1) is placed on top of a road or marine vehicle to provide extra propulsion. It is connected at both ends to mounting plates (4) for the vehicle. A control regulates the rotation of the cylinder to control the vehicle speed. The direction of rotation of the cylinder can be altered by a reversible drive. It can be filled with a gas which is lighter than air to allow the use of a large cylinder. |
