Machine extruding concrete beams - uses trailing rails to form sides and has sprung vertically movable blades which follow floor profile

The machine extrudes elongated concrete products such as precast pretensioned prestressed beams. It includes rear mounted extruding plates, and travels the length of a casting bed. The plates have the beam profile and are open at the bottom over the widths of the flanges. Trailing lateral screeds (60) finish the sides and the bottom corners of the flanges without forming fins. These comprise cutting blades (63,64) sited between each plate. The blades move vertically to follow the floor of the bed, and may be pushed towards the floor by adjustable springs (68). Trailing extensions (34) of the plates may be used to mount the blades on downstand rails (36), the blades running in lubricated dovetail section grooves on the respective sides of the rail.
