摘要 <p>A deformable explosive pad or slab for blasting through steel plate in a temp. range -40 to +70 deg.C comprises plastic high explosive. The slab is generally rectangular, at least 15 mm thick (c) and has a width such that the height:width ratio is 1:1-1:25 the length at least equals the width. The slab or block is covered on all sides with an elastic, watertight and oiltight, tear-resistant foil, pref. of thickness 0.01-0.2 (0.05-0.1) mm, on the top, bottom and side faces this foil is partly or completely wrapped in one or more layers of adhesive tapes covering at least 50% of the top and/or base surfaces. This tape is opt. covered with a pull-off adhesive protective foil. The slab can pref. be deformed through more than 90 deg. by hand about at least two of its axes. Used in partic. for blasting through steel plate exceeding 20 mm thick. Plastic explosive in this form is capable of achieving this, whereas thinner, foil-type explosive or cylindrical foil cannot blast such plates.</p>
