The room temp. regulator comprises a temp. sensor (4) inside an envelope and connected mechanically (9) to a valve (6) in the feed line (5). Around the sensor is situated a heater element (3) forming part of the outer assembly and electrically insulated from the sensor. Also included are a timer and an external thermostat so that the valve may move up or down in defined time periods if the room becomes too hot or too cold. During the defined control period the sensor may actuate the heater which comprises a coiled wire element. The timing clock may be connected to the same common electric supply source for several rooms, each with its own sensor.
