The friction clutch, particularly for a motor vehicle, has a housing turning with a flywheel etc., a pressure plate turning with and sliding in relation to the housing, and a clutch plate with linings clamped by springs between the pressure plate and the flywheel. The pressure plate slides on and turns with the clutch shaft, its portion clamped by the pressure plate being joined by spring components to that on the clutch shaft. The clutch housing (2) and the pressure plate (3) are joined together by U-section springs (6) along the periphery and the arms (6.1,6.2) of the springs are rigidly fixed to them. The springs are pre-loaded, so as to press the friction face (3.1) of the pressure plate against one face (4.1) of the clutch plate, and the other face (4.2) of the latter against the face (1.1) of the flywheel. |
