Flotation tailings slurry dewatering - in centrifuge with admixture of portland cement at specified rate

The Parent Patent No.3035397 described a method for dewatering slurry, esp. that with a content of coal, based on the admixt. of a rapidly hardening additive. A special application of this process arises in the dewatering of tailings from the flotation of coal or ore, where Portland cement is used as an additive to assist the dewatering process. Slurry from such tailings is partic. viscous and adhesive. The new process facilitates handling, transportation and storage of it.
