<p>The ventilation system has a small ventilating fan driven by a mini-battery and controlled by a pushbutton switch covered by a water-tight foil (26). The battery is located in a compartment in the top of the goggles. The compartment is closed by a screw-in stopper (28). The fan and its motor are likewise in the top of the goggles and ingest air through a filter (19). The fan forces air down through the goggles and out through holes (7) at the bottom of the goggles, thereby preventing them from steaming up. Holes (13) are present in the front of the goggles so as to entrain air when the skier is moving.</p> |
