<p>Such a wrap-spring clutch has two axially aligned clutch hubs (1, 2) over which extends a wrap-spring (3) with its one end (4) and one hub (1) rotationally fixedly connected. With its other end (6), the wrap-spring (3) is rotationally fixedly connected to a clutch armature (9) which can move coaxially to the hubs (1, 2). The clutch armature (9) is part of the magnetic circuit of an electromagnet (11) and, on excitation of the latter, is frictionally coupled to a likewise magnetically active radial flange (12) of the second hub (2). In order to provide a forced opening of the magnet system and, as a result, an exact extinguishing of the magnetic field, in order that exactly constant opening and closing times are achieved over the complete life of the wrap-spring clutch, a spring (14), engaging on the other side on the radial flange (12) of the second hub (2) and acting against the frictional connection between the clutch armature (9) and the radial flange (12) of the second hub (2), is arranged on the clutch armature (9). <IMAGE></p> |
