Landmine with automatic retraction - using force exerting device triggered at end of mine working life

The mine, for military vehicles or personnel, is buried beneath a ground layer which is lifted to expose the mine when the working life of the mine has expired. This is effected via a device which is triggered at the end of the woking life and which exerts a force downwards to cause the mine and the overlying ground layer to the pushed upwards. Pref. the retraction device is triggered by an electronic evaluation circuit (5) supplied by batteries with a timer which times the working duration. The main detonator is de-activated at the end of the latter and a secondary detonator for the retraction device (8) is triggered. The mine is easily located for removal.
