PURPOSE:To make it possible to diagnose myasthenia gravis at a high sensitivity with facility, by conducting passive blood corpuscle aggregating reaction using sensitizing blood corpuscles prepared by combining fixed red blood corpuscles with acetylcholine receptor through a coupling agent. CONSTITUTION:Red blood corpuscles are treated by using a coupling agent to obtain coupling agent treated blood corpuscles, and then, antigen sensitizing blood corpuscles are obtained by making the aforementioned coupling agent treated blood corpuscles contact an acetylcholine-receptor-containing solution. By making this sensitizing blood corpuscles suspending solution contact a man's serum or the diluted solution and observing the image of aggregation on the bottom of a tube on the basis of passive blood corpuscle aggregating reaction, antibody value of an antiacetylcholine receptor is measured, and myasthenia gravis is diagnosed. Since this method does not require use of isotope or venom, it is possible to diagnose the sickness with safety and simplicity. |
