PURPOSE:To obtain a trouble detecting device of low cost and yet high reliability by making such an arrangement that when transformers end each of which is divided into more than two sections are used by combinding them with one another, physical values at the same points on all the transformers are compared with one another, and if the comparison value proved to be different from the value of normal time, an abnormality is judged to have coccurred. CONSTITUTION:Tanks 11 and 12, steel cores 21 and 22, and windings 31 and 32 of first and second unit transformers are manufactured to the same specification, and detecting means 41 and 42 are installed on almost same locations in respective tanks 11 and 12, and therefore, voltages detected by the respective detecting means are to take almost same values when operating in the normal condition. If an abnormality, such as shortcircuit of winding, etc. occurred in the tank 11 or the tank 12, leaking magnetic flux in the abnormal-occurring tank varies, and therefore, it is obvious that a difference is caused to detecting voltage between the detecting means 41 and 42, and then, it becomes possible to easily detect occurrence of an abnormality in the tank by comparing the two voltages with each other by a comparing means 5. As this device requires no current transformer, it can be operated economically, and since it maintains the same phase even at the time of impression of voltage, it is not necessary to consider possible influence by exciting rush current. |
