PURPOSE:To enable a rotary magnetic sheet to rotate at a high speed and invariably in parallel to a sheet guide surface, by providing a guide plate near a head which moves in the radius direction of the rotary magnetic sheet. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 46 is moved in the radius direction of a rotary magnetic sheet 8 to record and reproduce an information signal on and from the sheet 8. In this case, a guide plate 43 which stabilizes the rotation of the sheet 8 is provided near the head 46, and the guide plate 43 has a guide surface 63a for guiding the sheet 8. As a result, the sheet 8 rotates at a high speed and invariably in parallel to the guide surface 63a, thereby performing recording and reproduction the signal stably. |
