PURPOSE:To prevent a shear in printing and irregularity of density by advancing prescribed time the excitation starting timing of printing magnets which drives a constant number of printing hammers driven within a constant time after the 1st driving within the same line. CONSTITUTION:A counter 27 consists of the 1st and 2nd registers 27a and 27b; and the 1st register 27a counts the number of printing magnest advanced in excitation start in one line and when it counts up to the (k)th magnet, the advance in excitation start is stopped. The 1st register 27a is cleared initially. The 2nd register 27b sets the value of the time when excitation is advanced in accordance with the thickness of a form. When a type clock 10 is detected, addresses of buffers PLB and UCSB are set in registers 16 and 17. In an excitation-start- timing enabled state, hammers are set; when the contents of the 1st register 27a are less than a value (k), an advance is made as it is and when the register 27a counts up to the (k-1)th magnet, the following excitation start is delayed by a prescribed value. |
