PURPOSE:To control print intervals by holding N groups of (n)-bit information in a latch means, group by group, by turns until a next group of information is inputted, and outputting the pieces of information while shifting them by the optional number of bits. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic printer receives N groups of information consisting of (n) (n; positive integer) bits at a time and prints them in parallel. Latching means 4 and 5 hold said N groups of information, group by group, by turns until a next group of information is inputted. A data selector means 6 receives the outputs of the latching means and outputs the pieces of information while shifting or without shifting them by the optional number of bits. Then, the data to be printed is shifted in bit position from the input signal to adjust print intervals. For example, the print intervals of A, B-E in the upper figure is rearranged as shown in the lower figure, thereby making characters easy to see. |
