PURPOSE:To make die set exchanging and press work efficient by rotating the die set containing members provided freely revolvably on the front and rear faces on one side of a press body in such a way that their opening parts direct a constant direction at all times. CONSTITUTION:When the malfunction of the old die set D1 on a press body 1 is detected, die set containing boxes 12, 12 one of which is placed with an adjusted die set D2 and the other is empty are manually turned and positioned to the forcing and removing face of the body 1. Next, the set D2 is ejected onto the body 1, and the set D1 is projected onto the empty box 12. Thereafter, the boxes 12, 12 are turned again to the adjusting positions. Here, a chain 21 is put on between a sprocket 18 fixed to the lower bearing part 5 of a bracket 6 and a sprocket 20 fixed to the fulcrum shaft 11 of the box 12. The number of teeth of the stationary and movable sprockets 18, 20 is so set that the opening parts of the boxes 12 face a constant direction at all times. When the boxes 12 are turned in an L direction around a vertical shaft 10, they are rotated in an opposite M direction at a prescribed speed. |
