PURPOSE:A cosmetic, containing a lipoid or simple lipid isolated from a sea snake, e.g. Laticauda semifasciata, and capable of exhibiting the cellular activating action, hair growth promoting action, etc. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing a lipoid or simple lipid isolated from a sea snake, e.g. Laticauda semifasciata and an analog thereof, as an active constituent in an amount of 0.1-3wt%. The cosmetic is used in the form of a lotion, cream, pack, shampoo, rinse, hair cream, hair conditioner, dentifrice, etc., and effective for improving the skin roughness, luster and color, make-up spreading, liver-spots, freckles, etc. of the skin. The lipoid is obtained by the extracting and separating method, and simple lipid is obtained by boiling the sea snake directly or the internal organs thereof in water or steaming them, dissolving the separated fat or oil part in a fat-soluble organic solvent, e.g. ethyl ether, and subjecting the separated fat or oil to the chromatography. |
