A sealing or trim strip etc. to straddle over the end of a flange or the ends of juxtaposed flanges and for bending around small radius curves comprises a continuous U-shaped clip 1 including a plurality of longitudinally spaced transverse ribs 1 connected in spaced relationship by integral connecting positions 2, (See Fig. 5 not shown) the clip being completely covered by moulding or extruding the strip forming layer 3 of thermoplastic synthetic resin composition, the interior surface of the strip 3 having inwardly directed projections 4 for frictionally engaging the flange or flanges. The portions 2 may taper or may be parallel sided. The strip 3 may extend beyond the ends of the clip 1 to form sealing beads 5. The strip may be ornamented or have an ornamental fleck coating or fabric covering. The clip 1 may be formed by extruding the covering in flat form on to a blanked out metal strip and then bending the covered blanked out strip into the desired U- shaped form. |
