PURPOSE:To control the azimuth of a reproducing head, by reproducing a recording medium to which a composite signal of two signals having different frequencies is recorded with a 2-channel reproducing head and minimizing the differential output between the reproduced signals of both channels. CONSTITUTION:Both sine waves of a sine wave oscillator 1 of 6KHz and a sine wave oscillator 2 of 400Hz are divided to left and right channels 4 and 5 via a sine wave synthesizer 3 to be used as a recording input of a recorder/reproducer 6. The reproduced output of the recorder/reproducer 6 is also divided to left and right channels 7 and 8, and the differential output level between both reproduced signals is obtained via a synthesizer 9. Then the azimuth control point of a head 10 is set at a position where the differential output level is measured as the minimum value by a level meter 13 and to the azimuth error angle of the head 10. |
