<p>PURPOSE:To achieve correct pickup even with shifted character location, by the detection of location through a vertical projection of one row of read-in data at a bundle through a horizontal projection as to the range of each obtained black block. CONSTITUTION:An original 5 is read in at a read-in section 1, and the data is stored in a read-in data register 2 in dot unit. The vertical projection is made for the information stored in the register 2 over one row to obtain the projection data PX. When the first black block X1 with the width of one character is detected from the data PX, the horizontal projection is made over the range of X1 to obtain a data PY1 and a black block Y1 is obtained. Thus, the range of presence (X1, Y1) of the 1st character is obtained and similarly, (Xn, Yn) is obtained as the range of the n-th character.</p> |
