PURPOSE:To decrease the number of pins down to a half and at the same time to ensure the accurate reading of the segment information, by giving an access to plural memory segments based on the segment information within a segment information memory. CONSTITUTION:If a trouble arises to an OR gate 19-3 in a reading circuit and the output signal is always a logic ''1'' signal, the segment read out in the basic pattern reading mode is read erroneously. However, in the shift pattern reading mode, the logic ''1'' signal set to a bit information storing part 13-3 is inverted by an NOT game 22-2 to turn off an AND game 18-2. Thus the segment information same as the correct basic pattern information is set to bit information storing parts 13-1-13-4. |
