PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of a can and improve its reliability by using a structure with varied thickness symmetrically relarive to the center at the bottom of a positive electrode can. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode can is structured so that the thickness of the bottom sections 3, 4 is varied symmetrically relative to the center. When the same kind of material is used for the positive electrode can, the bending rigidity is proportional to the cube of the thickness of the can. Therefore, the bending rigidity is increased, and the strength of the can is enhanced, thus the reliability of the cell during production and usage is improved. |
