PURPOSE:To achieve bicolor or tricolor recording only by changing conveyance paths, by performing unicolor recording by a single recording part by providing recording parts which form images in different recording colors. CONSTITUTION:Recording units 100 and 200 of the same constitution are stacked longitudinally. Recording paper 101 in a paper cassette 115 is fed to a matching roller 104 along a guide plate 103 through the rotation of a roller 102, and then fed to an ink jet head 111 together with the 1st conveyance roller 105. At the opposite side of the head 111, a thin-hole conveyance belt 106 and a fan 107 are provided and the paper while sucked is fed to a conveyance roller 108 by the conveyance belt 106. For unicolor recording, it is fed to a receiving dish 110. For bicolor recording, the paper is fed toward a guide plate 121 through the operation of a separator 120, and then fed to the recording unit 200 of the same constitution, thereby performing recording in different color. |
