PURPOSE:To obtain a desired converted sentence by KANA (Japanese syllabary)- KANJI (Chinese character) conversion by storing the contents of a temporary dictionary in a nonvolatile storage device before a power source is turned off, and by repeatedly utilizing the contents of the temporary dictionary in the storage device. CONSTITUTION:A temporary dictionary is provided in the specific area of a magnetic disk 5 or a main memory 6. When the temporary dictionary is stored in the specific area 5a of the magnetic disk 5, the contents of a temporary dictionary formed by a last user are erased once a system is started with the switch SW of a power source part 13. Command information from a keyboard 2 permits a processor 12 to start document drawing-up processing by KANA- KANJI conversion. When an operator input the rendering of an input original sentence on a keyboard 2, the processor 12 operates according to the program of the main memory 6 to perform the KANA-KANJI conversion by using the conversion dictionary stored on the magnetic disk device 5. |
