PURPOSE:To obtain stiffness of both shoulder parts individually by utilizing the outputs of the two pieces of the X-Y load cells on both ends of a load drum axis, the distance between cells, the shortest distance from a shoulder part to the drum axis and the shoulder width. CONSTITUTION:When a tyre 3 is pressed against a drum 1 and rotated, from each loadcell 3a and 3b the output of the components Ra and Rb in the radial direction and of the component La and Lb in the lateral direction is generated to be put into an arithmetic circuit 17, bedies from a soulder width setting part 14 the shoulder width is put in to compute ax={L(Ra-Rb)+2l0(LF)}/2W+ 0.5(RF), bx=-{L(Ra-Rb+2l0(LF)}/2W+0.5(RF) (In the formula, L denotes the distance between the load cells, LF denotes lateral force and RF denotes radial force). Said output ax and bx are put in the servo devices 18a and 18b through a delay circuit 22. From the setting part 14 the sholder width W is put in a grindstone width control device to control the servo devices 18a and 18b for setting the grindstones 20a a nd 20b in the shoulder positions of the tyre. |
