PURPOSE:To reduce the moment of inertia of a cam follower, by making the diameter of a bar section of a push rod larger than the diameter of bulbous sections at the ends of the bar section, and making the diameter of necks smaller than the diameter of the boulbles sections. CONSTITUTION:The boulbous sections 30c are connected through the necks 30b to the ends of the bar section 30a. The push rod for a valve mechanism is constituted to have a relationship D1>D2>D3 wherein D1 represents the diameter of the bar section 30a, D2 represents the diameter of the necks, and D3 represents the diameter of the boulbous sections. |
