PURPOSE:To produce a steel strip having superior cold workability at the cold rolling and blanking characteristic by subjecting steel controlled of the amts. of Si and Mn which solubilize in ferrite and is added with a proper amt. of Cr to a solution heat treatment, then to a constant temp. transformation treatment in a specific temp. range. CONSTITUTION:The steel contg. 0.65-0.95% C, <=0.20% Si, <=0.5% Mn, and 0.1- 1.5% Cr and consisting of the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities is subjected to a solution heat treatment, then to a constant temp. transformation treatment at 425 deg.C-A1 point temps. When the resultant steel and conventional steel strips contg. the same amt. of C are compared, the edge cracking of the steel strip under cold rolling and the blanking characteristic of the cold rolled product are considerably improved. |
