<p>PURPOSE:To prepare particulate slug as well as to recover sensible heat possessed in the slug by supplying molten slag to a tandish which is finely movable upwardly and downwardly and into which gas is injected from a lower part thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a tandish 3 which has a nozzle 4 and an inner cylinder 9 provided to a bottom surface thereof and is inlaid with an outer cylinder 10 through a seal 23 in a movable manner, molten slag 1 is supplied and a pressurized air stream is injected. Said molten slug is directed to an upper air stream pipe 5 while blown off and pulverized and secondary air is blown into said air stream pipe 5 from a blow-in port 24. As described above, the tandish 3 is moved and adjusted to obtain particulate slug with an optional particle size and, at the same time, by heat exchange due to a parallel stream system, sensible heat of the slug is recovered.</p> |
