Folded carton for CRT package - has vertical main cradle section with tube flanking and side sections folded away from it

Folded cardboard, or similar material, carton support holds and protects c.r.t.s and similar equipment. A vertical back plate section (1) with a top cut-out section (4) takes the neck of the tube. Either side of the cut-out (4) are shaped side faces (6) formed to the contour of the tube and on both sides of the vertical back section (4) are fold-forward sides (8,9) that reach upwards to the level of the top of the carton. The side wall (8,15) are of double thickness card. The cut-out (4) has a support strip (17) inserted into it.
