The actuating slider has a spring-loaded member which presses at least one rocking contact carrier against a stationary counter contact. The contact carrier is moved from a distance stable position, away from the counter contact, when an unstable point has been exceeded. At least one strip (16) is connected to the actuating slider (5), this strip moving the contact carrier against the force of a sliding spring (15) nearer to the stationary counter contact (9) in one direction of its movement. In the other movement direction, the contact carrier (11) is lifted from the counter contact. Preferably the contact carrier executes a part of its movement in the direction of the counter contact freely, while being supported by the strip over a second part of its movement. The contact carrier may be in the form of a two-arm lever, the arm away from the counter-contact being engageable by the strip.
