PURPOSE:To obtain a simple-structure optical switch which has the reduced attenuation of light and a small number of manufacturing processes, by providing the columnar lenses and a light shielding matter between a pair of optical fibers fixed on a supporting board. CONSTITUTION:The beams sent from an optical fiber 1 on a supporting board 6 are turned into parallel beams through a columnar lense 5a and then made incident to an optical fiber 2 by a lens 5b, 5b. A light shielding matter 3 is set between lenses 5a and 5b to cut off the light. In such way, a simple-structure optical switch is obtained with small attenuation of light and a small number of manufacturing processes. |
