PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the number of lead wires, by converting the signals supplied in a time series way by a shift register into the parallel signals and then controlling a drive power supply generating circuit of a display element. CONSTITUTION:A shift register consists of a D-type flip-flop D-FF. When the rise of a clock waveform is supplied to a clock terminal CP, the information of a data terminal D at that moment is recorded and delivered to the D-FF. Then the first storage data is transferred to the 2nd D-FF by the clock pulse, and at the same time the information of that time is read into the 1st D-FF. In such a way, the information supplied as the time series data are distributed as the output of each D-FF successively and synchronously with the clock signal to be turned into the parallel information in terms of space. Thus each line is repetitively selected and circulated to obtain a desired display. As a result, the number of lead wires can be greatly reduced in a camera. |
