PURPOSE:To obtain a bright image, by arraying desnely a number of thin tubular optical paths which extend to cross the thickness and advancing the light incident to an end face to the other end face through a repetitive reflection on the tube wall surface for each tubular optical path. CONSTITUTION:The transmission light can always be produced with a spectrum distribution 12 of a certain range at the front part of the surface of a screen 11 not only in case the incident light has a certain incident angle but in case the three color picture beams R, G and B arrive. Thus the change of the brightness and hue of an image can be effectively reduced regardless of a shift of the eye 5 of a viewer. In such a way, the incident light can be effectively diffused with a desirable spectrum distribution toward the viewer side without diffusing toward the incident side or the screen. As a result, a bright picture image can be obtained with a high contrast. |
