<p>The pneumatically (8) operated machine (7) for placing electronic chip circuits (5) onto printed circuit boards (1,2,3,4) has several assembly points (A,B,C). Each point contains several magazines filled with components. These magazines are placed to apply the chip to the correct position on the circuit board. One circuit board is on each assembly point and,when the machine operates, each is fitted with components from magazines at that point. On completion a transport cycle follows, and the boards are moved on by one assembly position. A finished board is removed from one end (4), and an empty board (1) inserted at the other. The circuit components can be applied at any desired angle relative to the board length and width, and a high density of components can be achieved. The components are moved out of the magazine and pressed into the board by pneumatically-operated plungers.</p> |
