The coupling pin (14) for the tilting roof panel is located inside height adjusting sleeves whose relative rotation extends the support. The end of the pin has a ratchet shape gripped by a hairgrip type of spring attached to the underside of the panel. The profile of the tipped end is elliptical to open out the spring to release the panel. The elliptical shape is designed to provide a twisting force on the ratchet when the panel is pressed down onto the pin. This ensures that the panel is connected to the support even with the pin left in the open position.
