<p>The winding spindle is provided for a venetian blind serving as an outside curtain for a window or door. The sheath of the spindle (10) has teeth (14) aligned in its axial direction. The blind (13) has a corresponding zig-zag crenellations, forming interconnected folds (19) at intervals of different width, increasing from top to bottom. The teeth may extend over the whole spindle length, or be formed in sequential rows. The spindle and teeth may be monolithic, or the teeth may be screwed, riveted or clamped on it. The spindle can be a hollow cylinder, with end caps, and the blind can be made of metal or plastics foil, pref. 0.2mm thick, and with small ventilating slits or holes.</p> |
