<p>PURPOSE:To speed word searching operation by simplifying keying operation by providing a forward key for reading and displaying word data in the order of a dictionary and a back key for reading and displaying them in the opposite direction. CONSTITUTION:Dictionary memories 20 and 21 are stored with words, and their addresses are specified to perform mutual translation between the 1st and 2nd languages. With a forward key, a search control part 16 searches the dictionary memory 20 or 21 in the order of the dictionary to display the storage contents on a display part 2 as forward search. With a back key, on the other hand, the control part searches the memory 20 or 21 in the opposite direction to the order of the dictionary to display the storage contents on the display part 2 as backward search.</p> |
