PURPOSE:To enhance the preserving ability and utilizing ratio of an electrolytic solution and improve the liquid leakage resistance, by using an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer resin powder as a binder which is used for the positive electrode of a nonaqueous electrolytic solution battery, the former copolymer resin powder has the value of specific surface area larger than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 3 and a separator 7 are placed in a positive can 1, and a lithium negative electrode 6 is pressed to touch a negative electrode can 4 having a negative electrode collector 5. This positive electrode can 1 is hermetically sealed with the negative electrode can 4 where a gasket 8 is interposed. Manganese dioxide, cupric oxide and iron sulfide are used for an active material of the positive electrode 3, the active material is added with a conductive agent such as acetylene black and a binder to make a mixture, which is pressure-molded together with a positive electrode collector 2 to form the positive electrode 3. Ethylene-tetrachloroethylene copolymer resin powder is used as the binder of this positive electrode 3, this resin powder used whose specific area being 1m<2>/g (preferably 1-10m<2>/g, average particle diameter: 2mum). |
