PURPOSE:To suppress meandering of a tape recording medium to the utmost, by providing an electromechanical conversion element which is fitted with a tape guide main body regulating at least one end of a running tape recording medium and displaced broadwise the recording medium through the application of an AC signal. CONSTITUTION:The lower end of a tape recording medium (hereinafter tape) 1 runs while being restricted with the upper side of a lower flange 2b of a tape guide main body 2. The lower surface of an upper flange 2a of the body 2 is provided with an electromechanical conversion element 3, and this element 3 is displaced broadwise the tape 1 as shown in the arrow by applying an AC signal from an AC signal source 4. Thus, the upper end of the tape 1 is depressed with the element 3 and the lower end is depressed to the lower flange 2b of the body 2, allowing to suppress the meandering during run. |
