PURPOSE:To output a specific KANJI (Chinese character) by the input of a form approximating the human conception, by extracting selectively sequential KANJI codes designated by a KANJI code extracted from a word dictionary to extract KANJI which constitutes a word or an idiom registered in the word dictionary. CONSTITUTION:Pronounciation of words or idioms are used as a key to store KANJI codes in a word dictionary 1 through an input word buffer, and a key code corresponding to pronounciation of a word or an idiom is inputted to index the dictionary 1, and a KANJI code corresponding to this key code is extracted. A numeric code is given in a predetermined position of the key code and is detected by a starting part 5 for extraction processing of designated KANJI of a control part 4 to generate a start signal, and the dictionary 1 is indexed in accordance with generation of this signal by the code except the numeric code, and the KANJI code is inputted to a candidate word storage buffer 7. The numeric code is applied to a numeric decision decoder 9, and outputs of a read register 8 to which words from the buffer 7 are inputted are selected in accordance with a sequence designated by the decoder 9 and are displayed on a display device. |
