<p>Safe and perfect filtration of molten metal such as molten aluminium is obtained efficienty by a molten metal filtering device which comprises a filter housing provided in a flow path for molten metal, a horizontal partition disposed within the filter housing and having at least one filter-setting hole bored therethrough. A filter frame is detachably fitted to said filter-setting hole in such a manner that the upper part thereof protrudes from the filter-setting hole, and a filter medium is set in position within the filter frame at a level such that the upper surface of the filter medium falls below an inflow path and an overflow path for the molten metal.</p> |
