PURPOSE:To achieve reproducing and recording matching to track shape respectively, by the constitution that the shape of track in which concentric tracks and spiral tracks are mixed, is reproduced while being discriminated automatically. CONSTITUTION:In a disc having concentric and spiral tracks, each track is recorded with a specific address signal. A reproducing signal Q is inputted to an FM demodulator 41, vertical and horizontal synchronizing signals are separated from a reproducing video signal (i) of the output at a synchronizing separation circuit 42 and a synchronizing signal (j) is inputted to an address pickup pulse generating circuit 43. A pulse (k) to pick up the horizontal synchronizing period with an address signal is inputted to a gate circuit 44, an address signal (l) is picked up from the signal (i), addresses of odd and even number of rotation are stored in memories 46,47 via an ADC45, the coincidence (e1) or discidence (e2) of the memories 46,47 is detected at a coincidence detection circuit 48 to discriminate the concentric and spiral tracks, allowing to make playback and recording in matching with the respective tracks. |
