PURPOSE:To achieve high density recording, by increasing a recording signal voltage to the maximum in the range that a recording body is not destroyed, through the detection of a recording current and the control of a recording signal voltage. CONSTITUTION:An output Vr of a recording amplifier 11 amprifying a recording signal is outputted via a capacitor C1, a DC bias voltage Vdc is superimposed through a resistor R1, and a signal voltage V is applied to a recording head 6. A resistor R2 and a capacitor C2 detect a recording current I. With this constitution, when a signal voltage V approaches a discharge destruction voltage, the recording current increased, the DC component Idc flowing the resistors R1, R2 is increased, a voltage of a parallel circuit consisting of the resistor R1, capacitor C2 is increased, this terminal voltage is applied to an amplifier 11 as a control voltage Vc, the gain is controlled inversely proportional to the Vc, and then the voltage V is decreased. Thus, the signal voltage is optimized, allowing high density recording. |
